This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard information when you use our AI-powered business intelligence platform available at plotzai.com (the “Service”).

Account information: name, email address, company name, password (hashed), and authentication identifiers from third-party providers such as Google.
Customer data: spreadsheets, CSV files, datasets, and other content you upload or connect to the Service for analysis.
Usage data: log data, device and browser information, IP address, pages visited, features used, AI queries made, and timestamps.
Billing information: processed by our third-party payment processor; we do not store full card numbers on our servers.
Communications: support requests, feedback, and any messages you send us.

2. How We Use Information

Provide, operate, and maintain the Service, including generating dashboards, charts, and AI insights from your data.

Improve, personalize, and develop new features (using aggregated or de-identified data only).

We do not sell your personal information or your uploaded customer data.

3. AI Processing

When you use AI features (chat, insights, automatic dashboards), excerpts of your data and your prompts are sent to large-language-model providers strictly to fulfill your request. These providers operate under agreements that prohibit training their models on your content. We never use your uploaded business data to train our own models.

4. Data Sharing

We share information only with:

Service providers who host infrastructure, process payments, send emails, or provide AI model access, under appropriate confidentiality and data-processing terms.
Legal authorities when required by applicable law, subpoena, or to protect our rights, users, or the public.
Successors in the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, subject to this policy.

5. Data Security

We use industry-standard safeguards including encryption in transit (TLS), encryption at rest, role-based access controls, row-level security in our database, and regular security reviews. No system is 100% secure; you use the Service at your own risk and are responsible for protecting your account credentials.

6. Data Retention

We retain your account data and uploaded datasets for as long as your account is active. You may delete datasets at any time from within the app. Upon account deletion, we remove your content within 30 days, except where retention is required for legal, accounting, or backup-rotation purposes.
